Billy Strachan’s Letter in support of David Frisch’s campaign for a seat on Courtenay Council

Dave is hard working, conscientious, progressive, and extremely amicable not to mention a loving family man and a superb friend. Any municipality would be fortunate to have his knowledge and experience helping to guide its future. By voting for David Frisch, residents of the City of Courtenay will be placing their trust in someone who is not only deserving, but absolutely dedicated to the community and its betterment.

Ryan Williams’ Letter in support of David Frisch’s campaign for a seat on Courtenay Council

To whom it may concern,

This letter is to offer support to David Frisch as being one of Courtenay’s councillors in the upcoming election. Dave has been a family friend and reliable contractor for me and my family for many years.

Through our personal lives, I have noted the healthy lifestyle and choices that Dave and his family enjoy. His “earth-friendly” decisions are seen daily in what he and his family eat, their lifestyle, the mode of transportation he chooses to use and the topics of conversation that he enjoys to explore. The health and welfare of his family and the world around them is very important and he has very good knowledge about those choices.

Professionally, Dave has been a superb contractor for the work we have needed done over the years. He is meticulous, fair and knowledgeable in the work performed. His commitment to our needs has been appreciated and important to us. Also, as a fellow businessman, Dave has shown interest and experience in participating in development practice that would encourage a healthier, more vibrant city (of Courtenay). He is well experienced as a successful business person and knows many business people in Courtenay.

I commend Dave in his attempt to position himself on the City of Courtenay’s council to try to make a difference in the sustainability and life of the City of Courtenay. Dave does not want to be a councillor for “status” or “hidden objectives”; he only wants to better the small piece of the world that he lives in so his family, friends and neighbours all have a better place to live.

Therefore, I strongly support David Frisch in his run for councillor for Courtenay.

Norm Reynolds’ Letter in support of David Frisch’s campaign for a seat on Courtenay Council

When I first read David Frisch’s letter to the editor asking, “…what is it about access to clean water that (these councillors) are opposed to?” I wondered why can’t we have a council full of representatives that, like David, are open minded, inquiring, and seeking what is obviously good for our community. Then I heard that David is running for a seat on Courtenay Council! To say the least I am very pleased to hear that the Courtenay ballot will have at least one clear alternative to the old boys mentality that says council doesn’t need to hear or listen to members of the community; council doesn’t have to do anything but look after themselves and the interests of a few entrenched buddies.

To me the idea of a new, young, person with fresh perspectives and a vision that extends to the kind of world we leave to our children is an idea to celebrate and a campaign to get behind.

I might not always agree with David, but I wholeheartedly support the idea of getting fresh new perspectives on council. To me it seems that for the past three years Courtenay council has sat on its hands, doing almost nothing; certainly noting with vision or commitment to the kind of valley we can enjoy and be proud of. It’s time to have someone on council someone who can say with conviction and commitment: “Together, let’s build a more vibrant and progressive Courtenay!”

I wholeheartedly support David Frisch for Courtenay Council.
